Consciences bear down

All of the characters think to themselves about the murderers that were announced. Whoever is behind this, I think they are a genius for getting under their skin like this. It's kind of cool. Lombard and Armstrong figure out that the first two murders correspond perfectly to the first two lines of the poem. They decide the murderer is Mr. Owen, and they are determined to find him.
